Bing has announced to roll out regular posts on Bing Webmaster Blog that will range from posts about its key updates to improve quality of links and traffic, responses to users’ questions and comments along with some key innovations. It seems Bing is on the footsteps of Google, which has revolutionized the world of Search Engine Optimization through its regular updates to improve quality of websites and their content.
It will be a part of Bing’s proactive communication methods. As per Bing’s Principal Development Manager of the Index Quality team, Igor Rondel, we need “to do a better job of proactively communicating updates”, which will come out in the form of regular posts from the Bing Index Quality team on Bing Webmaster Blog. The updates will be posted on a bi-weekly or monthly basis.
You can expect blogs about the latest and important updates of potential traffic influencing changes as well as the innovations the Bing team is working on. You can also expect active responses to your questions and comments on Bing Webmaster Blog. The first post has already given a spotlight on what may follow the next, as it was on filtering low quality or bad quality links in their search results. The is about how Bing “assess web documents against quality, ‘appropriateness’ and other standards, take action if needed and share this information with downstream components”. However, it was not an announcement of any update but a discourse on their philosophy behind it.
